Yarra Valley Wine & Food Festival

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions was thrilled to be apart of the inaugural Yarra Valley Wine & Food Festival that was held over two-days.

As a team we secured Melbourne's leading radio station, Smooth FM as a major media partneralongwith Channel 7's My Kitchen Rules.

The event was featured in all editions of The Weekly Review, also appearing in the Herald Sun, Weekly Times, Jetstar Magazine and Tiger Tales Magazine.  

We recieved overwhelming support from local publications including Mountain View Mail, Lilydale Leader and Yarra Valley Magazine. 

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions is already excited to be working on this incredible event next year!

Midsumma Pride March 

Once again Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions created a strategic PR campaign for Midsumma's Pride March held in St Kilda.

The Tyrrell Team was able to secure a feature story in The Age, The Herald Sun and the Local Port Phillip Leader reporting on the event. 

On the day of Pride March, TV news crews from Channel 7, 9, 10 and SBS attended and captured footage of the colourful event and the huge crowds.

The 2017 Midsumma Pride March reached record crowds of over 40,000 people who watched the annual parade which featured more than 6,000 marchers!


Victorian Cider & Pork Festival

For a second year in  a row, Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions did the public relations and communications for the Victorian Cider & Pork Festival January 21 - 22, 2017.

Looking at the successful outcomes we recieved last year, we implemented similar and new campaign strategies and recieved a huge amount of coverage - especially on the trending event listing sites including Urban List, and Time Out. We negotiated and secured an intensive media partnership with Smooth FM and Nova 100, as well as advertising on Cannel Nine.

With our strategic communications plan Cider & Pork Festival was able to establish itself as a major Melbourne event specialising in their own trend of Cider & Pork 


Port Melbourne Waterfront Welcomers

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions worked with the Port Melbourne Business Association, to help create awareness and knowledge of their Waterfront Welcomer's campaign.

As the 2016/2017 Melbourne cruise season launched - Port Mlebourne Business Association initiated a campaign - the Waterfront Welcomer's. These volunteers greet international and international passengers as they disembark off the cruise ship, and encourage them to spend their time in Port Melbourne as an initiative to boost the local economy. 

With our effective strategic PR communications plan we were able to secure three radio interviews with the President of Port Melbourne Business Assocaition and a half-page news article in the Herald Sun, this strategy created attention in the news and ensured that the Waterfront Welcomers' was recgonised accross the region.

St Kilda's Halloween Street Festival

During the 2016 Halloween weekend, Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions celebrated in true spooky style with St Kilda's Halloween Street Festival. The event included ghoulish face painting, costumed stilt walkers, magicians, photo booths, music, performers and more -guaranteeing a seriously spooky time for all!

With our strategic marketing and communications plan, our team was able to work with Gold 104.3 and the key TV networks and major newspapers - in making sure St Kilda's Halloween festival was one to remember!


Cuban Jazz Festival 

For the fifth year running, Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions once again created an effective PR strategy for the annual Cuban Jazz Festival. 

Our team was able to ensure that all things Cuban, from cuisine to music and everything in between, were celebrated in style and promoted heavily throughout the Melbourne media, securing a media partnership with Smooth FM.



Port's Paw Parade

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions was thrilled to join the Port Melbourne Business Association in promoting the very first annual Port's Paw Parade on October 22, 2016. The event showcased the finest pups in town - in costumes no less!

With our strategic media campaign, we were able to gain media exposure with the likes of Channel 7 News, Herald Sun, The Age, Urban List and Time Out. 



Melbourne Day

For the second consecutive year, Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions was honoured to work with the City of Melbourne and the Melbourne Day Committee to organise and publicise the memorable event celebrating Melbourne's 181st birthday on August 30, 2016.

With our strategic marketing and communications plan we secured a major media partnership with Gold FM, along with results in leading Melbourne newspapers, TV news and radio stations. With our assistance Melbourne Day recieved attention in the media and was a successful event among Melburnians that only seems to be getting bigger and better each year.




St Kilda 2016 Winter Foodie Competition

While Winter is usually the time to go into hibernation, it was not the case this past Winter. 

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions joined St Kilda Tourism & Events to ensure St Kilda remained as vibrant as it is during the Summer months with a dynamic and creative media campaign - the Winter Foodie Competition.

With our help, we secured the top three food bloogers in Victoria to generate excitement among the St Kilda cafe's and restaurants by holding a Winter Foodie Competition!

This campaign was a fantastic initiative that showcased St Kilda as a foodie precint and gain a reputation as an all year round destination with many attractions on offer.

Lombard's 2016 Go For Gold Olympic Campaign

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions joined forces with Lombard The Paper People on an exciting

campaign that involved Lombard's securing the license to produce the official merchandise for Australia's Olympic team at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Through our strategic marketing and communications plan, we secured major radio promotions and a partnership with Channel 7's Sunrise, helping to strengthen Lombard's brand as a dynamic merchandiser - providing Australia with the very best in party supplies and decorations for any occasion.


Fun4Kids Festival: Warrnambool Victoria, 2016

Leading up to the 2016 Winter School Holidays, Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions was thrilled to take part in the 2016 Fun4Kids Festival in Warrnambool, as the award winning festival celebrated it's 18th year of organising fun and exciting activities to keep the whole family entertained.

Our PR Campaign was instrumental in ensuring the Fun4Kids Festival maintained its position as Australia's best children's festival in the national media, with the aim to capture the imagination of both young and old with a host of interactive education zones, activities and some of the best children's entertainment from around Australia.


Cider & Pork Festival, 2016

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions was proud to be a part of the inaugural Victorian Cider and Pork Festival in January 2016, bringing together the best Victorian ciders, as well as the finest food producers from all over Australia, amongst the vines at the picturesque Rochford Wines.

Through Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions strategic marketing and communications plan, the 2016 Victorian Cider and Pork Festival was able to establish itself as the first event of its kind in Victoria specialising in this trend, as well as ensuring its reputation as an exciting and unique food experience for the whole family.


Yarra Ranges Regional Marketing

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions was appointed as Yarra Ranges Regional Marketing Limited's Public Relations agency in 2010 and is thrilled to be working with them on the YRRML Public Relations activity, having worked for the world class region from 2003-2007.

Our ongoing PR Campaigns reveal that the Yarra Valley is more than just a wine region and that the Dandenongs is also more than just a day trip destination. There are a host of hidden gems to be discovered in these regions and we can't wait to share them with the national media


Goulburn River Valley Tourism

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions is pleased to have been appointed as the Public Relations Agency for Victoria's newest tourist region; the Goulburn River Valley.

The recently established Goulburn River Valley Tourism Board has enlisted the help of the team at Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions to conduct a Public Relations campaign which will strategically position the Goulburn River Valley as an exciting, adventure- filled Victorian tourist destination for the whole family.


Puffing Billy Railway

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotionshas worked closely with the team at Puffing Billy Railway for more than five years now - on key launches and Public Relations campaigns for this national tourist icon.

Recent key Public Relations campaigns have included the launch of the New Luncheon Special and also the New Puffing Billy Dinner Special - both of which have achieved major metropolitan newspaper coverage and have featured in many TV lifestyle shows.

Having recently completed a $10 million refurbishment, this 5 star, all-suite hotel has appointed Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions to reposition the Stamford Plaza Melbourne brand in the marketing place.

The Crossley Hotel

Well known Australian tourism, sales and marketing consultancy Tourism & Hospitality Support Network has struck again - this time taking over management of the Crossley Hotel Melbourne and appointing Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions to help promote the iconic Melbourne hotel.

The PR campaign to relaunch the hotel has focussed on the revamp of the hotel rooms and reception and the new Fish Dish Café & Bar, opened in June 2011.


Lake Mountain Alpine Resort

A popular winter destination for families - Lake Mountain Alpine Resort is not only Victoria's premier mountain for cross country skiing and snow play, but is also the closest snow resort to Melbourne.

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions commenced work with Lake Mountain in June 2011 to draw visitors during the snow season and to promote the amazing array of activities available on the mountain during the warmer months - including, hiking, mountain biking, quad biking and some great summer events.


Start To Finish

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions has worked with events management company Start To Finish on two of their key Victorian running events - the Yarra Valley Grape Run September 2012 and the Spring Into Shape Race Series 2012.

The PR Campaigns for each event included radio promotions, celebrity media ambassadors, social media campaigns and securing editorial and event listings in top Melbourne newspapers.



Greenfleet has operated for the past 15 years as a not-for-profit providing Australian companies, organisations and individuals with advice how to avoid or reduce their carbon emissions, and ways to voluntarily offset their reduced emissions by planting bio-diverse Australian native forests.

Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions led a PR Campaign in October 2012 for the launch of Greenfleet's bio-diverse carbon credits to Australia's top 350 emitters.


Murrindindi Mitchell Bushfire Tourism Recovery Group

Murrindindi Mitchell Bushfire Tourism Recovery Group (MMBTRG) joined forces with Tyrrell Publicity & Promotions to promote tourism and visitation to the Murrindindi and Mitchell Regions through creative marketing campaigns.

MMBTRG's mantra -- ACTION NOW - aimed to spread the message that they are open for business, to get tourists back to the regions and to proactively assist the wide range of tourism-related businesses to rebuild and recover from a downturn in business.

the Bushfires.
