The Victorian Cider & Pork Festival is returning to Melbourne for a second year, at the new city location of Flemington Racecourse for a bigger banquet of the apple and pig. Held over the weekend of January 21 – 22, 2017, this summer event is set to be the biggest feast of cider and pork that has hit Victoria alongside live entertainment from bands, acoustics and DJ’s. The two-day festival follows the success of the annual festival in WA’s Swan Valley held over the past four years, and now for the second year in a row, Victorian revellers will be able to celebrate the humble pig and crushed apple from leading breweries, food trucks and Melbourne restaurants.

From 11am - 10 pm patrons will have access to more than 75 international and Australian ciders and will have the opportunity to sample some of Melbourne's finest dining flair at a number of different food trucks and leading restaurants from Melbourne, including top restaurants Meatmaiden, Dutchess, Bluebonnet BBQ, The Royal Mail Hotel, The Real Jerk, and leading food trucks including Burn City Smokers, Copa Food Truck, Smokin' Barrys, Toasta & Co, Nuoc Mama's, Loaded Melbourne, and Von Crumb Schnitzelhaus.

The Cider & Pork Festival will be showcasing some of the best ciders from all around Australia with more than 18 local boutique cider producers in attendance, including- St Ronan's Cider, Napoleone Cider, Batlow Cider Co, Aspall Cider, Graniet Belt Cider, Willie Smith Cider, Hills Cider, Custard & Co, Apple Thief and many more.

More than 50 different, mouth-watering pork dishes will be available as well as beer producers from all around Australia, including Stone & Wood, Little Creatures, Four Pines, Colonial Brewing Co, and James Squire.

Masterclasses, held over both days of the festival, will enable visitors to make the most of the cider tastings and learn about varying ranges of ciders from all over the world-including France, Australia and the UK- also demonstrating the endless food pairing capabilities between pork and fine cider.

"Pouring a diverse variety of cider styles from Australian and international regions, everyone will find something to tantalize their taste buds with, especially with our leading local cider and beer specialists including St Ronan's, Napoleone Cider and Custard & Co" said event organizer - Jesse Wilson.

Whilst enjoying some of Australia's top cider and pork at this village feel event - you'll be entertained with live music all day long across two stages, featuring live bands, acoustics acts, DJs, buskers and roaming entertainment - for what is set to be a truly memorable weekend.

General Admission tickets to the 2017 Cider & Pork Festival from 11am -10pm are $30.00 per person, per day including a Pint of Cider or Beer, or those wanting to attend in the evening, from 5pm - 10pm, tickets are $20.00 per person, per day including a Pint of Cider or Beer. Everyone attending will also have the option to purchase a cider tasting card for $20.00 allowing for 10 tastings.

To access the exclusive VIP Escape Lounge tickets are $110.00 per person, per day and includes entry to the festival, a private tent area, two free drinks, and passes to the cider tasting Masterclass.
