At the Yarra Valley Wine & Food Festival held at Rochford Wines, wine and food lovers alike, will have a unique opportunity see an incredible line up of cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs taking place the Yarra Valley Wine & Food Festival. Festival goers can attend Festival Central and see this seasons My Kitchen Rules contestants and Executive Chef from Matteo’s Restaurant, Kah-wai Lo (aka Buddha), who will be demonstrating their innovative recipes and unique cooking styles to festival goers.

From 11.30am on Saturday Kah-wai Lo (aka Buddha), Executive Chef at the two-hatted Matteo's Restaurant, will be demonstrating their own unique culinary skills and insider tips, alongside surprise guests from My Kitchen Rules at 1.15pm.

Lo (aka Buddha) has cooked for some of the world's best restaurants, including Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, Petrus Restaurant and received the 2015 Gordon Ramsay Excellence Award and was a top-three finalist in the 2014 Age Young Chef of the Year. Lo's positive and infectious attitude will have everyone at Festival Central buzzing during his demonstrations.

Sunday's cooking programme will once again feature My Kitchen Rules contestants, from 1.15pm.
Food lovers will revel in an array of dishes from leading Melbourne and regional food trucks with the likes of Lady Paella, Babaji's Kitchen, St Kilda Burger Bar, Lukumades, Twisted Mac, Popstic Icecream, Mr Calamaro, Giant Springs, Nomad Wood Fire Pizza, Don Lopez, Melbourne Arancini and Bites on Wheels taking part in the festival.

Yarra Valley's vibrant culinary community will also make an appearance at the ‘Farmers Market' showcasing local food producers including Yarra Valley Dairy, Australian Harvest Fine Foods, Kookaberry Berry Farm, 3 Bridges, Apiary Made, D'Arbons Pastries, Nothing But Juice, Unforgettable Products, Sure Things, The Little Piggy Stayed Home, Happiness in a Teacup, Belle View Farm Eggs, Nogo Sauces, House of Gingerbread, Jam Lady Jam, Fudge by Rich, Yarra Valley Homemade Pies & Cakes, Raw 4 the People, Blossom Organics, Micro Meadows, Milestone Pickle, My Little Cupcake Dream, Heathmont Honey, Cherry Hill Orchards, Silva Coffee, Stone and Crow Cheese and Crumbs Gourmet Biscuits, alongside entertainment from live bands and DJ's including performances from Chunky Jam and Bjorn Again (Saturday) and Lisa Edwards (Sunday) performing at the two-day festival.

Alongside the incredible array of local food and produce, wine lovers will relish in tastings as the region's winemakers will be showcasing everything from award-winning labels to their latest vintages, and discussing what makes the Yarra Valley one of Australia's leading wine regions.

Wine Masterclasses over both days will enable festival-goers to make the most of the premium wine tastings and learn about the varying wines and grape varietals throughout the Yarra Valley region - also demonstrating the endless food pairing capabilities between gourmet dishes and fine wine.

Hosting over 40 of the best local provedores and producers as well as wine, beer and cider artisans this festival will make for the ultimate weekend in the Yarra Valley, as festival-goers can indulge in the culinary experience while soaking up live music and entertainment.

And as a special addition, Sunday April 2, 2017 will bring a program with a family focus including kid's activities, entertainment, roving performers, and face painting.

General Admission tickets to the 2017 Yarra Valley Wine & Food Festival are $25.00 per person, per day including a commemorative wine tasting glass and an option to purchase a wine tasting card for $20.00 allowing for 10 tastings.

Yarra Valley Wine & Food Festival Restaruant Dining Experience tickets are $150.00 per person, per day and includes entry to the festival, a decadent two-couse meal and Rochford wine at the award-winning Rochford Restaurant and also includes a tasting card and commemorative wine glass.
