NEW WINTER WARMER MENU AT ROCHFORD WINES!


Winter has officially arrived in the Yarra Valley and Rochford Wines- Yarra Valley has just released its new Winter Menu consisting of “Winter Warming” comfort food that will make these chilly months a little more bearable...and far more enjoyable.

Highlighting the freshest locally sourced Yarra Valley produce and inspired by the spices of the Middle East, with a hint of French cuisine thrown into the heady mix of flavours- Head Chef Raki Andriana brings a wealth of new dishes and flavours to Rochford Restaurant celebrating this seasonal change.

"I am really happy with the direction of this new Winter Menu as I feel as though it's a true reflection of Rochford's new style and fresh approach to food and wine," said Head Chef Raki Andriana.

With more than ten years' experience at leading Melbourne and regional Victorian restaurants - Head Chef Raki Andriana works closely with Rochford's team of wine experts to include a selection of the perfect wine companion for each dish on the winery's Winter Menu.

Only a short hour's drive from the heart of the Melbourne CBD - Rochford Restaurant is the perfect place to bring family and friends. Tantalise your tastebuds and check out the new menu- whilst overlooking the rolling hills of the Dandenong Ranges and surrounding vineyards of the world famous Yarra Valley.

The new Winter Menu takes diners on a culinary journey- with exotic entrees such as: Crumbed camembert, poached quince, toasted walnuts & apple, Duck breast, polenta fries, chestnut puree & rhubarb mostarda and Winter mushroom & whole barley soup with aged pecorino.

Mains include: Slow cooked lamb shank, roasted grapes, cauliflower croquette & spiced hazelnut, Honey roasted pumpkin & shanklish filo pastry with salad of wild rice or 500g dry aged grass fed rib eye with pommes aligot & slow cooked mushrooms.

"These dishes were inspired by the fresh local produce grown in the Yarra Valley, which I try to utilise as much of - providing customers with the total Rochford experience," said Andriana.

And for dessert- Vanilla rum baba, mulled winter fruit whipped poppy seed crème fraiche, Vanilla bean custard, roasted cumquat, chocolate truffle & caramelised pecan, Banana & toffee pudding, salted caramel & mascarpone or Selection of cheese, fig & walnut salami, muscatels & lavosh.
