As the leaves begin to change colour and the Yarra Valley explodes in all of its Autumnal splendour - Rochford Wines- Yarra Valley celebrates this seasonal change with launch of Raki Andriana’s new Autumn 2016 Menu at Rochford Restaurant.

Highlighting the freshest locally sourced Yarra Valley produce and inspired by the spices of

the Middle East, with a hint of French cuisine thrown into the mix - Head Chef Raki Andriana

brings a wealth of new dishes to the table in this his second new seasonal menu - since

arriving at the Yarra Valley winery.


"I am really happy with the direction of this new Autumn menu as I feel as though it's a true

reflection of Rochford's new style and fresh approach to food and wine," said Head Chef

Raki Andriana.


With more than ten years' experience at leading Melbourne and regional Victorian

restaurants - Head Chef Raki Andriana works closely with Rochford's team of wine experts

to include a selection of the perfect wine companion for each dish on the winery's Autumn

menu. The new Autumn menu will warm you from the inside out - especially with a glass of

Rochford wine in the newly re-launched Rochford Restaurant.


Only a short hour's drive from the heart of the Melbourne CBD - Rochford Restaurant is the

perfect place to bring family and friends. Autumn is when the Yarra Valley is at its visual

best - harvest time- the leaves changing colour and it is a perfect time to escape the city,

tantalise your tastebuds and check out the new menu - as Rochford Restaurant has enviable

views looking out over the rolling hills of the Dandenong Ranges and surrounding vineyards

of the world famous Yarra Valley.


The new Autumn menu takes diners on a culinary journey- with exotic entrees such as Fresh

figs, goats cheese, candied walnuts & toasted brioche and Beef tartare, smoked

mushrooms, quail egg & potato chips.


"These dishes were inspired by the fresh local produce grown in the Yarra Valley, which I try

to utilise as much of - providing customers with the total Rochford experience," said



These entrees are followed by mouth-watering mains - Handmade ricotta gnocchi with pork

& wild pine mushroom ragu and aged pecorino and Chicken maryland, toasted corn,

romesco, chorizo briouat, barley & manchego - all matched with the perfect wine,

handpicked by one of Rochford's senior sommeliers.


Finally, the pièce de résistance - dessert: On offer are incredible creations such as Peanut

butter & caramelised banana parfait, espresso marshmallow & hazelnut, Chocolate truffle,

mandarin granita, jelly & crème fraiche and Compressed strawberry, broken cheese cake &

smoked meringue.


"The Chocolate, mandarin granita, jelly & crème fraiche is the perfect dessert for the

Autumn season, as we have used as many components of the mandarin whilst it is still in

season," said Andriana.
