There's nothing quite like a spooky neighbourhood soiree to embrace the Halloween spirit and this year the bayside playground of St Kilda is going over-the-top - putting on a spectacular FREE Halloween Street Festival to celebrate Halloween on Monday 31 October, 2016 over the Melbourne Cup Long-Weekend. From 3.30pm – 8.30pm, Acland and Fitzroy Streets are getting seriously spooky with the entertainment strips pulling out all the stops for a Halloween-themed afternoon and evening of ghoulish face painting, costumed stilt walkers, magicians, photo booths, music performers - and you will even see traders getting involved with Halloween specials on offer and their staff and stores decorated in spooky Halloween-style!

Held over the long weekend the streets will be more vibrant than ever - with the construction upgrades to Acland Street complete, visitors can experience the new Acland Plaza - transformed into an outdoor cinema on the night. Acland Plaza will have a free screening of the family-friendly favourite - The Addams Family Movie at 8pm - bring a pillow and rug to settle in for this classic!

Along Fitzroy Street you will discover a huge Halloween themed inflatable slide for the kids and a Trick or Treat Trail in Fitzroy and Acland Street where you will visit traders for a little surprise! Amongst the participating traders will be: Pepperoni's, Bay City Burrito, Grill'd, Suite J Hairdressing, Abbey Road Café, The Banff, Esplanade Newsagency, St Kilda Sports Club, United Kitchen and so many more!

There will be something for the whole family to enjoy with this Halloween Street Festival being the first event along the new and improved street.

And joining the festivities will be the Spooktober Halloween Festival - providing a truly haunted experience at St Kilda's Town Hall over the Halloween weekend from Friday 28 October until Monday 31 October, 2016. The Spooktober Festival and includes two Haunted Houses - suitable for all ages allowing patrons to choose their scare level - alongside games, amusements, the Food Truck Village and a Trick or Treat Trail.

Melbourne's Luna Park is also joining in St Kilda's huge Halloween Festival soiree with the iconic theme park transforming into Luna Dark on Saturday, 29 October until Monday 31 October. The ticketed event is ready for a spook-tacular weekend of screams and thrills ready to frighten patrons as they make their way through the Park.

There is no better time to head to St Kilda with the upgrades to Acland Street complete and a chance to immerse yourself in Melbourne's most haunt experience with a weekend of thrills and mystery at the St Kilda Halloween Festival of 2016.
